Manufacturing
Northern Industrial Manufacturing Corporation is a manufacturer of precision Thrust Parts ranging in thickness from .50 mm (.020″) to 21 mm (.825″). Product capabilities involve various materials so that we can satisfy many customer requirements. Primary processes include steel stamping (low carbon through 1095 pre hard and stainless) powdered metallurgy and screw machine parts.
Secondary operations consist of both vertical and horizontal double disk grinding for parts up to 127 mm (5″ O.D.) and as thin as 1.5″ mm (.060″) thick. Flatness and parallelism specification capability below .025 mm (.001″) and micro finishing techniques of down to .25 micro meter (10 micro inches) on some hardened and ground parts. This gives Northern Industrial the capability to meet your most demanding product requirements. Northern Industrial Mfg. Corporation has installed a cold steel reducing mill to reduce our steel coils from standard mill tolerances to much closer thickness tolerances if necessary.
For those applications where heat treatment and flatness are critical on thin parts, we have introduced a heat set tempering operation. This allows us to significantly improve the overall flatness of parts after the distortion caused by conventional heat treatment. Also, we have installed automated equipment to parallel plate inspect 100% for those applications deemed necessary.
